英語(yǔ)名著讀后感1

"A tale of two cities" is one of Dickens's most important representative works. The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution, intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel, and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes. The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed people's great strength. The novel has portrayed many different people. Doctor Manette is honest and kind but suffers the persecution actually , Lucie is beautiful and gentle ,Charles is graceful and noble,Lorry is upright and honest ,Sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings of warm, unconventional but also selfless and lofty,Miss Pross is straightforward and loyal,Evremonde brothers are cruel and sinister......The complex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge, but take the life as the price. As an outstanding writer,in Dickens's work, the language skill is essential. Each kind of rhetoric technique, like the analogy, the exaggeration, the contrast, the humorous, and the taunt are handled skillfully, and the artistry of the work is also delivered the peak."A tale of two cities" has its difference with the general historical novel, its character and the main plot are all fictionalizes. With the broad real background of the French Revolution, the author take the fictional character Doctor Manette's experience as the main clue, interweaves the unjust charge, love and revenge three independences but also incident cross-correlation stories together, the plot is criss-crossed,and the clue is complex. The author use narrates, foreshadowing, upholstery and so many techniques, causes the structure integrity and strictness, the plot winding anxious and rich of theatrical nature,it displayed the remarkable artistic skill.the style "A tale of two cities" is solemnity and melancholy, fills indignantion, but lacks the humor of the early works.

I was read the book which called “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”。 This story is about a clever boy called Tom Sawyer.

Tom is a naughty boy, he doesn’t like school and he doesn’t like work and he never wants to get up in the morning. But he like playing like swimming, fishing and having adventures with his friends. In this story he and his friend have a lot of adventures. These adventures can be dangerous. One night in the graveyard he and Huck see three men. Then Tom and his friends saw a murder. Joey killed the doctor and referred to Peter. Tom and his friends exposed Joey and caught him and became hero.

I think Tom is naughty but he is sympathetic and upright, he is brave he doesn’t afraid of Joey and full of his mind are wicked idea but he is clever and optimistic, he want his friend work for him, he make a lot of funny things.

This book let me know we need to “The road sees rough, gone to bat” to face difficult things we can’t shrink back and we need to fight with them. In the same time l know if only have a dream have pursuit and should try our best to do it , we can’t give up easily .

It just like in our study life we need to do our best. When we have problem we need to overcome it and get better scores.

英語(yǔ)名著讀后感3

The protagonist of Don Quixote's novel, originally named Alonso jihada, wasa local man. He was fascinated by the popular Chivalry Novels at that time andwanted to imitate the chivalry. He found a pair of tattered and incomplete armorfrom the antiquities of his family. He named it Don Quixote de Mancha himself. He also found a servant sangqiu and a milkmaid from the neighboring village, named Dulcinea, as his favorite person to serve him all his life. Then he rodeon a thin horse and ran away from home. Don Quixote also acted according to thestrange ideas in his mind, regarding windmills as giants, sheep as enemies, convicts as knights, wine bags as giants' heads, indiscriminately cutting andkilling, causing many ridiculous things. His actions were not only useless forpeople, but also suffered from beating and suffering. When he got home for thelast time, he was bedridden and finally understood. He made a will, and if theniece, the only heir, married the knight, her right of inheritance would becancelled.

At first glance, Don Quixote, I think, is just a funny vulgar work. Thenervous "brave spirit" of the protagonist is vividly displayed in the book, which makes people look down upon him even more. But savor carefully, and feelthat there is a truth in the book. The most basic essence of people is toachieve their goals recklessly. In the process of realization, the chivalrousknight, who is as thin as a high pole, and the gentleman with fantastic ideas, always shows his integrity and kindness. This is the most noble spirit of humanbeings. Because it is too simple, many jokes are made.

When Cervantes wrote Don Quixote, he aimed at attacking, satirizing andfabricating the strange chivalrous novel and its bad influence on people. It wasintended to be written as a few short stories. Later, it was written that hewrote in his life experience and ideal. His thought content became more and morerich, and his characters became more and more realistic, until he described thedisaster brought by Spanish society to the people, and became an encyclopediafor us to understand and study the social politics, economy, culture and customsof Spain at that time.

This is Don Quixote. Although Don Quixote is funny, what about other peoplein reality? So, when we see Don Quixote, we should all reflect on ourselves. That's what I think after watching Don Quixote.

it is a story filled with action, adventure,www.99diyifanwen.com, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. the whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.

the book is a little difficult to read at first. personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. other than referring to persons of african decent in derogatory terms (which i'm sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. i highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

英語(yǔ)名著讀后感5

After several days of effort, I finished watching "Don Quixote" this book. It is the representative work of Spanish writer Cervantes, full name for the strange feeling different think gentleman Don Quixote, Taiwan, la has ", a total of two rolls up and down. Novel wrote, aged more than 50 of the country gentlemen Don Quixote, crazy for love knight novel, the story of the average computer-virus. Author's nonsense from the knight novel Don Quixote knight contents and real life mixed with each other, thus resulting in a series of absurd behavior a belly laugh. Him as a giant, the windmill war with it, though in a career on the way, he was cut down one ear, out many teeth, have also been interrupted several ribs, is often war often hurt, but wrong-headed, do not know to repentance. Through this absurd behavior, can feel the author's praise of the aspirations of the ideal society and noble moral.

Social climate is becoming worse now, many young because of not good reading, do the small theft etc. Bad deeds. And others fell on the chair a mobile phone, the humanistic saw should be returned to their rightful owners, or call 110, but conscience never compete greed, directly turned around mobile phones, sneaked away again. Also, bank card switch events, when you do not pay attention to, blocking the card with the hand, immediately to use only one or two seconds, was successful. Social ethos is not to force, it can be very awesome, the monitor and police everywhere now are bad "mousetrap", tight dragnet, grasp not only thing in the morning and evening. Like drunk driving, or some loophole, finally revoked certificates not only, also sit in the classroom. God's mill grinds slow but sure, now do bad things, you will regret.

Don Quixote limbs developed, simple, and finally the proper price, reading a book not too obsessed, or you will average computer-virus, control yourself, we don't like.

As the saying goes, "Young people don't read the Red Mansions, old people don't read the Three Kingdoms". I read Dream of Red Mansions this year.

As far as I know, the author of the Red Chamber was Cao Xueqin of the Qing Dynasty. Cao Xueqin spent 10 years painstakingly writing the novel Dream of the Red Chamber, which was based on the love story between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu, but finally achieved the "golden and jade marriage".

This novel describes the characters in detail, which is a lot of things happened in the Grand View Garden. When I think of the Dream of Red Mansions, I will think of stories such as "meeting a good chance to know the golden lock", "going back to the Grand View Garden in the Spring", "Daiyu burying flowers and weeping for residual redness", "Jia Zheng hitting Baoyu in a rage", "Daiyu's Xiaoxiang dream scares the soul", "Baoyu not taking Xue Baochai" and so on.

There are thousands of characters in A Dream of Red Mansions, including Jia Zheng, the most respectable Jia mother, Jia Baoyu, the little noble young master, and Lady Wang Xifeng, Sichun: Cherish Spring, Yuanchun, Tanchun, Yingchun, etc.

This novel is rich and colorful, with a variety of characters. The characteristics of a person with appearance are delicate, generous, generous, stingy, angry, kind, beautiful, ugly, and so on.

I like the four masterpieces, such as the Dream of Red Mansions, not only because they are rich and interesting, but also because I admire the authors of the four masterpieces who have worked hard to write these four Chinese masterpieces!

英語(yǔ)名著讀后感7

On Sister Carrie Carrie was such an ordinary rural girl at the beginning of the story. Sitting on the seat of a bus she couldn’t help feeling exciting at the sight of the metropolis’ spectacle. She was impressed deeply by large crowd on the avenue the spacious square or tall buildings. Far more different from other heroines Carrie was not a plain pure angel like Snow-white nor was she brave enough to be a heroine of revolutionist or even a reformer nor was she so clever as to be a successful career woman who start from scratch.

What attracted her most after her entering this huge metropolis was the incredible fineries fashion shoes smart handbags displaying in the shop windows the jewellerys shining brightly behind the glass. She dreamed that one day she could wear all of these jogging gracefully into the most luxurious hotel with focused sights of admiration. And this was not merely a dream. Because she had large eyes which can earn others’ sympathy even love. She had wonderful figure which can win others’ hearts. However anything she got anywhere she reached had not come from her ambition.

Things happened and then she accepted. That’s what she had just done ? just to accept willingly from the bottom of her heart. She was not at all an evil woman who would give anything for the fortune or fame. However she would give uo something for a better life when her instinct defeated her intellect.

That was Carrie a girl had her own desire a human being just like many others in the realistic world. There’s one sentence written in chapter VIII:” When this jangle of free-will instinct shall have been adjusted when perfect understanding has given the former the power to replace the latter entirely man will no longer vary.” However how many people can go that further.

英語(yǔ)名著讀后感8

the book “the pianist” is an autobiographical book written by wladyslaw szpilman, who was known as the most accomplished piano player in all of poland, even in europe in the 1930s. szpilman died in 20xx at the age of 88, and he wrote down the amazing story immediately after the liberation of poland, which tells his struggle to survive nazi occupation of poland during world war ii.

szpilman became subject to anti-jewish laws imposed by the conquering germans. by the start of the 1940s, szpilman had seen his world would go from piano concert halls to the jewish ghetto of warsaw and then must suffer the tragedy of his family deported to a death camp. at last deciding to escape, szpilman went into hiding as a jewish refugee where he was a witness to the warsaw ghetto uprising in 1943 and the warsaw city revolt in 1944.

in 1999, this book was rewarded as one of the best books. “ "the pianist," wladyslaw szpilman"s remarkable memoir of his survival in warsaw between the years 1939 and 1945, is a significant contribution to the literature of remembrance, a document of lasting historical and human value. it has all the rawness and specificity of horrors painfully and uncomprehendingly withstood and afterward just as uncomprehendingly --but necessarily-- recorded. writing this book would seem to have been a further act of survival by a man who performed more of them in six years than most human beings do in a lifetime. there are many ways to read a book about the holocaust, and one of them, surely, inevitably, is to try to answer the unanswerable: what makes one man endure when so many others succumb? from szpilman"s testimony we learn this: it is an ineffable and wholly unpredictable mixture of fate, determination, accident, instinct. to know wladyslaw szpilman is, in the most hopeless of contexts, to know a modicum of hope” (l.a.times sunday book review, december 5, 1999).it has been reprinted for many times and was translated to at least 30 kinds of languages. and it was also been made into a movie, which won three oscars: best director, best actor, and best adapted screenplay.

after finishing appreciating the book as well as the movie, i was deeply shocked

and moved. in the ghetto, people lived in fear from minute to minute, starving, ill, tired and witnessing scenes of unspeakable horror. people were shot at random by bored german soldiers; others were registered and sent to concentration camps.by contrast, we are so happy to live in the peaceful world, with enough food, sound body and freedom. there’s no excuse to complain, the only thing we should do is to cherish our beautiful life.

on the process of szpilman’s escape, a number of people help him to survive, including his friends and boss and even a germany caption. that remains me the humanity, which exists among people in every corner of the world. we all have families, we all have friends, and we all have the right to live. but do the germans really can’t understand this point? it seems that they take killing others as game, but after burning the dead bodies of the jews, they become talk about their own mothers…… war, it’s all because the war. how many innocent people die? how much unnecessary loss is caused?

in the end, i would say that everyone has the responsibility to object to and avoid violence and wars, and we must build a harmonious world through our own efforts. then we can really live a happy life.

英語(yǔ)名著讀后感9

Jane Eyre, one of the most famous works of Charlotte Bronte’s, is an inspiring story about a miserable girl who pursue freedom, independence and true love. The story of the independent minded Jane and her love affair with Mr. opened up new dimensions for women both as writer and of feminists. Jane Eyre, the tough girl, really impresses me very much.

One of Jane’s impressive and admiring personalities is her self-respect. She wasn’t beautiful, and the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease. But as Jane had said: ‘Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!’ T is the idea of self-respect in Jane Eyre’s mind. hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of self-respect impresses me so much and let me feel the power inside her body.

The other gorgeous personality I value very much is her selfless love. After leaving Thornfield with a broken heart, Jane experienced quite a lot. She refused the proposal of St.,a handsome priest who helped her a lot when she was starving. Later, Jane inherited a wealth of fortune from her uncle which she shared with her three cousins. But when hearing that Mr. had lost eyesight and made body serious injured while saving his mad wife in a conflagration during which his wife died and all his property was destroyed, Jane returned to Thornfield immediately and devoted her love to Mr. 。 What a great decision for her to go back! If I were Jane, I couldn’t promise to get married with Mr. Rochester who is in such a terrible situation. However, Jane did with all her heart!

I like the novel very much, especially the character ‘Jane Eyre’ who is a great woman in my mind. Jane makes me realize the importance of self-respect and understand what the true love is. In this sophisticated society, we may not avoid being contaminated, but we can remind ourselves of Jane Eyre and try to be an independent and strong-minded person who treasures self-esteem and true love.

  Little Prince

This is a fairytale whose distribution volume is only second to The Bible. It’s been translated to versions of many other languages. And I gather there must be something special, something really great about it. It’s this conviction that drove me to read it at the first beginning. Well, with due respect to the author, I failed to see how this fairytale be worthy of our attention, despite the fact that many readers claimed this book to be designed for adults.

Anyway, as a well-acknowledged book, it must possess unique feature to maintain it’s position. And it’s reputation and popularity will by no means be destroyed by what an unknown man says. I will talk about the main contents of the book, and the inspiration it renders as usual.

This book mainly tells us the experience of a prince from a tiny planet, who traveled to many other planets and finally came to the earth and met the pilot in a desert. The prince and the pilot became good friends, and the pilot gradually got to know the feeling and experience of his friend. Before he came to the earth, little prince had been to other 6 little planets where he made acquaintance with some strange people. The first man he met was a king on a little planet, yet he claimed to be the king of the space and ridiculously justified his unshakable governance over all. The second person was a man of vanity, who enjoyed compliments of any form without considering whether it’s sincere or not. The third person was an alcoholic who tried to forget the fact that he’s addicted to acohol by drinking like a fish. The fourth person was an abosolute money-oriented businessman, who cared nothing but his fortune. Next came the lamp-lighter who performed his duty blindly. The last one was a geographer who knew too much about geography to solve a real problem related to it. These six people each represented one kind of person like us. The author satirized people’s conceit, emptiness, fakeness, innocence and blindness through the tone of a child.

I see eye to eye with the author in that the cause of people’s loneliness can be concluded to the negligence of the bonds that connects them. People are supposed to care about each other, cherish what’s really important for them, and be grateful for the happiness that they’ve gained. We all believe knowledge and experience enable us to see clearly and make right judgements all the time. But we may sometimes lose the right to speak straighforwardly, think creatively or love courageously resulting from what we’ve experienced. That why in our middle school textbooks, it’s the little kid that breaks the illusion of the emperor by saying ”but mum, he ain’t were anything”.

When I was a child, I was definitely a good boy who went home on time after school and did his homework and never tried anything without mom’s permission. And now I am a grown-up, and still I am a good man, at least, that’s what I heard. Sometimes when I was lonely and I began to think about my childhood, then all the happiness and care-free

life came back to me as it were yesterday. Kids that once accompanied me during my childhood now become fathers and mothers of their kids and I myself am a child no more. Thinking about all these things have made me moody. There’re changes happening in our lives whether we are happy about it or not.

People told me life is a journey which will never stop once it’s started. What’s left behind are happiness and sorrow, pride and shame, success and regret. There’s good old time to reminisce and there’s sad hours that reminds us of the pain. Your feeling makes them real, and you know you lived.

I want to conclude by saying some positive words that each yestersday used to be today, and each today is the future of yesterday, so making the most of today is the best way to cherish your lives. Our mortal beings are doomed to die. It’s not sad, instead, death it’s just a process of our lives. After all, we’ve lived our lives and it’s what we do and how we think that determine who we are.

(when you look at the above passages, don’t regard it as a composition or an article, because if you do, you will be puzzled at the structure. It’s just a few words that come to my mind at the moment and I type them.)

  Have a nice day!

  《呼嘯山莊》

My Feelings after reading Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is a well-written tragedy of love. After reading the whole story, I would like to talk about the main characters of the story—Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff love each other very much, but they do not have the right attitude towards love, which leads to the tragedy.

In Catherine’s life, she made a very foolish decision---marrying to Edgar. In fact, her love for Edgar can never be compared to that for Heathcliff. She did so, because she thought the wealth of Edgar would be useful to Heathcliff. But in reality, it did not work. She did not have a good understanding of love, which is something pure and saint. If anyone add any purpose into love, love itself lost its meaning. Catherine’s wrong decision hurt two people who love her, and even destroyed the happiness of their offspring.

Heathcliff is a man full of retaliation. He loved Catherine very much, but what he did, on the contrary, added to the misery of Catherine. In my opinion, if he really loved Catherine, he should not walk into Catherine’s life again after his disappearance. Further more, after the death of Catherine, what Heathcliff did brought agony to Catherine’s daughter, as well as his own son.

After reading, I have a better understanding of love. If you love really someone, his or her happiness is the thing that most matters.

An unprecedented masterpiece set off an upsurge of the times. A peerless epic awakened the beauty of burying flowers. It is the first of the four masterpieces - A Dream of Red Mansions.

In this classic masterpiece, I was deeply impressed by the stubborn and disrespectful Jia Baoyu, the thoughtful Lin Daiyu, the warm and kind Xue Baochai, and the eloquent Wang Xifeng.

Jia Baoyu, who was placed in high hopes at birth, is handsome and crazy. He left me the impression that he was fooling around among girls all day long, playing closely with sisters and servant girls, and often making strange remarks. Due to the doting of Jia's mother, Baoyu was less affected by feudal ethics. Jia Baoyu did not like to learn the then "Eight part Essay", but he had a special liking for the "Western Chamber".

In the feudal society at that time, the position of servant girls was extremely low, but Jia Baoyu treated them fairly and thoughtfully, which also reflected his bold challenge to the feudal concept.

Jia Baoyu was indifferent to fame and wealth, never took the road of wealth and wealth, and despised the imperial examination. With repeated advice from his family, he entered the examination room. But when he won the seventh place, he became a monk, which also showed his attitude towards life that was indifferent to fame and wealth.

Let's talk about Lin Daiyu. Lin Daiyu is an intelligent woman. When she first entered the Jia family, she always cared about everything and was careful everywhere. She saw everything in the Jia family and kept it in mind. When Baoyu was ill for a while, she saw that Sister Feng had not visited her. Thinking that Sister Feng had no such heart, she pretended to be in front of her mother, but she made a joke.

It can be said that Dream of Red Mansions is an inexhaustible treasure. The cultural spirit it contains still needs to be further explored. I love reading A Dream of Red Mansions!

Austin's "pride and prejudice", as she puts it, is thin on two inches ofivory carving, it is the masterpiece of Austin。 Reflect the marriage problems ofnovel is a, the author works in the most is her favorite works。

Works of vivid reflects the late 18th century to the early 19th century ina conservative and occlusion of the British town life and the world。 Its socialgraffiti like novels not only attract the readers at that time, solid to today, still give the reader a unique artistic enjoyment。 She was the first torealistically portray ordinary grace novelist in daily ordinary life, plays anessential role in English novel。

The whole works, not least no winding ups and downs of the plot, but it isthis simple, delicate and attracted us deeply。 Austin, short life is spent inthe country, almost all around may be simple, halcyon atmosphere nurtured hercool temperament。 Not because there is no abundant experience, for the analysisof things for her ability to doubt。

People read the book pride and prejudice "will be fine for her, keenemotion。 When writing "pride and prejudice", she is just a teenage girl, isn'tthis a gift? She does very little contact with the outside world, but thought, imagination, the existence of all this is enough。
