If you’re ready to add more physical activity(體育運(yùn)動(dòng)) to your life, here are some tips(建議).
Make physical activity part of your routine, like brushing your teeth or going to work. Try biking to work at least once a week, using the stairs more often, or walking to some places near home. But talk to your doctor before you start an exercise routine, especially if you haven’t been very active or have health problems.
Walking is one of the best fitness(健康) activities. To keep up a routine, you can walk with family members, friends or pets. Count your steps with a step counter(計(jì)數(shù)器). You can buy one at a sporting goods store. If you don’t have time for one 30-minute walk, break it into three 10-minute walks.
Find an activity that you enjoy, and stay with it. Change it with other activities so you don’t get bored. For example, walk three days a week, and swim or bike on the other days. Join a volleyball or basketball club for fun and exercise. By finding more activities you enjoy, you’ll have a greater chance for success.

There is a sign at a Korean university asking tourists not to step into the grass to take photos. The sign is not written in Korean or English; it is written in Chinese.
These signs, and signs in other countries warning Chinese tourists about their behavior, have shamed many Chinese who worry about the image of the country.
Over 70 million Chinese tourists made overseas trips last year and spent $102 billion, more than the $84 billion spent by American and German tourists. For many Chinese tourists, it was their first trip abroad and they didn’t know about foreign ways. And some of these tourists took their bad habits from China with them.
Wang Yang, a Chinese deputy prime minister(國務(wù)院副總理), said, “They(the tourists) speak loudly in public, carve words or numbers on tourist attractions, cross the road when the traffic lights are still red and spit anywhere. It damages(毀壞) the image of the Chinese people and has a very bad influence.”
Before you travel to a foreign country, it’s important to learn some things about the country and its culture. You are guests in the country and it’s important to respect(尊重) your hosts. As more and more Chinese visit foreign countries, their behavior will certainly change and those shameful signs will, hopefully, disappear.
81. The sign at a Korean university is written in ______.
A. Chinese B. English C. Korean
82. How do many Chinese feel about the signs?
A. Proud. B. Interested. C. Shameful.
83. The underlined word “image” probably means “______” in Chinese.

A. order the Korean university to clean up signs with Chinese words
B. advise the overseas Chinese tourists to change their behavior
C. ask Chinese people not to spend too much money traveling abroad
85. What would be the best title for the passage?
A. Signs Shame Overseas Chinese Tourists
B. Foreign Culture Makes Bad Influence
C. Foreign Countries Attract Chinese Tourists

Should Shanghai bid for(申辦) the Summer Olympics in 2028? Here are some people’s opinions.
Some people said, “The games will improve Shanghai’s global influence and the city is powerful and must try to become a platform(平臺(tái)) for major international dialogues. Shanghai has succeeded in holding the World Expo in 2010 and the city can also hold a successful Summer Olympics.”
Others, however, are not sure that it’s a good idea. They think the Olympics would be too expensive and the money could be better spent on other things.
The 2008 Beijing Olympics brought much prestige(聲望) to the city and to China, but its cost, over $40 million, was high and the Olympic site(場(chǎng)地) in the center of the city is now largely unused. Could Shanghai learn from Beijing’s experience and do it better?
My answer is yes. As one American said, “A great city has to do great things.” Shanghai is a great city and is not afraid of facing challenges. Holding the 2028 Summer Olympics would prove that.
101. When did Shanghai hold the World Expo?
102. Why don’t some people agree to bid for the 2028 Summer Olympics?

Monday, June 30 Sunny
This morning, our English teacher told us some stories about “the most beautiful filial piety youth in 2013”. I was deeply moved. Those teenagers set us a good example in respecting and caring for parents.
I used to make my parents unhappy and now I feel ashamed about it. I think I should learn from them. I will help do some housework and take good care of my mum and dad when they are ill. I will try my best to study hard so that I can enter the key high school in our city. I hope I can become a filial piety youth like them.
