雅思寫作范文:政府補貼藝術(shù)工作者
Traditional arts civilized a nation. Do you thinkgovernment should subsidize musicians, artists, actors or drama companies? What should agovernment do?
Traditional arts, as valuable cultural relics of anation, are disappearing far away from the modernsociety. China, as one of the highly-civilized countriesin the world, abound in various forms of traditionalarts, such as painting, calligraphy, music, architecture and dramas, which are not only ournational cultural treasures, but also a rich fortune ofthe world.
As essence of a local culture, traditional arts reflect a nation’s artistic talents andtraditions. For example, water-color painting depicts a harmony between people and nature.Architecture illustrates a nation’s aesthetic value and religious belief. Cathedrals, highlightedby Gothic style in the Medieval, represent Christianity. Pagodas, totally different from cathedralsstylistically, are a symbol of Buddhism. Peking Opera describes the history of our country.
However, traditional arts are leaving contemporary people further and further away, oneof the main reasons for which is that the authorities concerned and some institutes lack fundsand professionals, which are quite essential to the research and promotion of traditionalculture. Another radical reason should be attributed to the impact of western cultures ontraditions. Young people, especially youngsters, are addicted to western music like rock and roll, without any knowledge about traditional musical instruments. With the economic globalization, traditional culture and arts will be in the danger of assimilation. How to maintain and developtraditional arts becomes the biggest concern of a government.
Firstly, the government should lay a fund for the research and promotion of traditionalarts. Secondly, the research institutes and universities should work out a long-term developingscheme, organizing systematic research on traditional arts. Arts belong to a nation and thewhole world as well. The prosperity of traditional arts will diversify the culture of the world.
雅思寫作范文:城鄉(xiāng)醫(yī)療教育的選擇
In many countries, good schools andmedical facilities are available only in cities. Some people think new teachers and doctorsshould work in rural areas for a few years. Butsome others think everyone should be free tochoose where they work .Discuss and give yourown opinion.
In this day and age, it can be generally observedthat the disparity between cities and the countryhas been aggravated by relentless urbanization. With respect to educational and medical facilities, ayawning gap has emerged between those in cities and the rural ones. This manifest chasm hasprompted some to suggest that teachers and doctors fresh out of university work in the countryfor a few years.Yet many are opposed to this view on the grounds that it infringes uponindividual freedom to choose where they work.Personally, I think both these two views havemerit and demerit.
Granted, assigning new teachers and doctors to the countryside may create certainbenefits. To begin with, this practice can help foster a strong sense of obligation in manyteachers and doctors. They can experience first-hand how the rural residents are held back bythe out-moded teaching and medical facilities and this, in turn, can inspire a host ofprofessionals to commit themselves to the alleviation of this disturbing situation. Moreover, theinferior living and working conditions in the country can temper many of these youngprofessionals’ soul. They are very likely to be more tenacious and determined and hence moresuccessful than their urban counterparts in later careers.
However, there are even more drawbacks that this practice can engender. In the firstplace, many young teachers and doctors will feel unmotivated or frustrated if they are sent torural areas against their own will. They may have a hard time getting accustomed to theshabby housing and primitive facilities and slack off at work.In the second place,if newteachers and doctors are coerced to work in the countryside, a considerable proportion ofthem may find it daunting when it comes time for them to relocate to cities after a few yearsin the country. They will feel intense occupational stress when they cannot operateefficiently equipment much more advanced than the devices they are used to back in thecountry school or hospital. Last but not least, given the inferiority of the rural educational andmedical facilities,it is highly probable that the inexperience of new teachers and doctors willlead to unsatisfactory job performance in rural schools and clinics. We really cannot expectfresh recruits to work wonders with outdated tools.
In the final analysis,I concede that sending teachers and doctors fresh out of college tothe countryside may produce specific advantages. However,if we enforce thisindiscriminately, that will surely generate even more banes. On balance, I am convinced weshould optimize our workforce and honor the individual freedom in determining where theywork.
雅思寫作范文:是否該鼓勵年老員工退休
Companies should encourage old employees (55years old) to retire, in order to give opportunities tothe new generation. To what extent do you agree ordisagree?
Nowadays, plenty of employees who are morethan 55 years old must retire because of companypolicy; therefore, many people think that thedevelopment of a company cannot be separatedfrom the number of young employees. The abovepoint is certainly true; this essay will outline threereasons.
The main reason is that plenty of youngemployees mean that the company is infused with lots of young blood. With the development oftechnology, more and more new technological products have been developed. The newgeneration masters advanced technology and have the energy to exploit. They have learnedlots of knowledge in the university; therefore it is definitely useful for the development ofcompanies.
Another reason is that old employees cannot adapt themselves to the rapid pace. Oldemployees find it difficult to learn new things rapidly. With their limited physical strength, theyare not capable of heavy manual work. So old employees are not a patch on youngemployees, it means not only intellect but also physical strength.
Last but not the least reason is that old employees have already worked for more than halfof their lifetime, so they should retire to enjoy life. The old employees have already paid out toomuch in order to look after their families and careers. So they should pursue their hobbies
In conclusion, old employees shouldn’t continue working for themselves. Moreover, advancement of society needs a new generation.
