Unit 4 I want to be an actor.( Period 1)
一、 教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
本單元的核心話題是“Talk about jobs.” (談?wù)撀殬I(yè))。主要圍繞“What do you want to be? I want to be an actor.”這一主題展開教學(xué)活動(dòng)。并以這一主題引出一系列職業(yè)的名稱,并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生說(shuō)出自己理想中的職業(yè)。本單元旨在創(chuàng)造一個(gè)輕松,愉快的學(xué)習(xí),交流環(huán)境。通過(guò)聽(tīng),說(shuō),讀,寫來(lái)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用這些知識(shí)的能力。
本單元Section A呈現(xiàn)了如何對(duì)職業(yè)進(jìn)行提問(wèn)的句型以及如何對(duì)職業(yè)進(jìn)行描述。這部分內(nèi)容通過(guò)視,聽(tīng)等方式提出的信息,引出本單元的主要句型:
What does she do? She’s a doctor.
What does she want to be? She wants to be an actor.
文中安排的聽(tīng)力練習(xí)由易到難,能讓學(xué)生展示捕捉特定信息的能力,輕松完成給對(duì)話排序,從而使學(xué)生們能體會(huì)到成功的喜悅,主動(dòng)運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言。
二、教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)理念
1、本單元的教學(xué)活動(dòng)始終遵循任務(wù)型教學(xué)的教學(xué)理念,以學(xué)生為學(xué)習(xí)的主體,以任務(wù)為中心,在運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言完成任務(wù)的過(guò)程中來(lái)學(xué)習(xí),體會(huì)和掌握語(yǔ)言。
2、自始自終貫穿了以交際為目的的原則(在做中學(xué),在學(xué)中用)
3、在教學(xué)過(guò)程中,樹立以學(xué)生為本的'思想,提倡學(xué)生參與、體驗(yàn)、獨(dú)立思考、合作探究。并在教學(xué)過(guò)程中滲透德育教育,樹立學(xué)生正確的人生觀。
三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)設(shè)計(jì)
1、知識(shí)與技能
A.Master these words: actor、shop assistant、doctor、reporter、policeman、policewoman、waiter、bank clerk etc.
B. Understand and use the sentence patterns correctly: What does he/she do? He is an actor/ a reporter. What do you want to be? I want to be an actor. What does he/she want to be? She wants to be a policewoman.
C. Talk about jobs freely.
2、過(guò)程與方法
在教師的組織和引導(dǎo)下,學(xué)生以自主、探究、合作學(xué)習(xí)的方式,適當(dāng)利用多媒體技術(shù)達(dá)到提高聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫、自主學(xué)習(xí)能力的5個(gè)目標(biāo)。
3、情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀
通過(guò)學(xué)生對(duì)職業(yè)的學(xué)習(xí)以及對(duì)自己理想中職業(yè)的談?wù),使學(xué)生樹立遠(yuǎn)大的目標(biāo),從而進(jìn)一步樹立正確的職業(yè)觀和人生價(jià)值觀。

Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warming-up&Lead-in
1.T:Today we are very happy.Let’s appreciate an English song —If You Are Happy.
2.T: What do I do?
I am a teacher.
What do you do?
Ss: I am a student..
T: Yes, you are all students. I am a teacher.This class we learn some more new jobs.
3. Elicit the new sentence according to the pictures:
A: Who is he? B: He is…
A:What does he do? B: He is an actor.
A: What does he want to be? B: He wants to be a/an…
4.Show pictures and learn some words: actor, shop assistant, doctor, reporter, policeman, policewoman,waiter, bank clerk, student etc.
Let students answer some questions according to the pictures.
Step 2 Practice
1. Guessing game. Show some pictures on the screen and ask students to try to guess what the job is.
2.Finish 1a:Match the words with the pictures.
3.Pairwork
Ask students to look at the picture and talk about the picture then make a dialogue.
4. Group work
Make a survey in groups of four.First ask and answer,then fill in the chart.
Step 3 Listening&Practice
、盠isten and number the people (1-3)in the picture above.Finish 1b.
、睱isten and do the exercises in 2a and 2b.Then check the answers.
、矨sk and answer questions about the pictures in 2a.
Step 4 Consolidation
1.Pairwork
What do your family do? Work in pairs, make your own conversations.
You can use as many job words as you can.
2.Groupwork
What do you want to be when you grow up?Now discuss in groups of four, then give a report.
Step 5 Homework:
1.Write a short passage about your family members.
