Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Greetings and leading-in:
Ask students to look at the some pictures and learn about the main topic of this unit. Use thepoem“ The Peasant’s lot”《憫農(nóng)》 to show thehard work of farmers. Tell the Ss to cherish(珍惜)the food
Step 2 Reading and Comprehending:
1. What is the passage about?
It’s about A Pioneer for all People—Yuan Longping.
2. Skimming
Match the following headings(標題)to each paragraph.(連線)
First ask the Ss to do it individually and then do pair work to discuss. Then ask some Ss to share their opinions.

Stop the pollution to the environment and protect the soil in the field.
